Description
English: A Roman Machine Gun Post? A World War II Home Guard pill box built into the north-eastern rampart of a Roman marching fort. This post guarded against an enemy advance from the east along the Gwryd Pass. A similar pill box is sited at the south-western corner of the fort to provide fire against troops moving up Nant Gwynant. The mountain in the background is Moel Siabod and in the middleground is the s.w. corner of Llyn Lockwood.
