| Description |
An uncommon beautiful dove, found in the countryside, usually in open fields and grasslands. They are migratory to the place I visited since they were not sighted there before. The birds tend to be seen in pairs or singles, unlike many of its cousins which are always found in flocks. Further, they are usually seen on the ground, on small posts like this or on electric wires. Theoretically, that could make them more susceptible to raptors since they are easy to sight and prey. But I haven't seen any pics or data to support that theory of mine. Need to keep a watch for it. Thanks in advance for the views and feedback if any. Much appreciated. |
