Summary
[edit]DescriptionA Rail Star type Shinkansen arrives on a slow Kodama service (49495457656).jpg | Another type of Shinkansen, the Rail Star arrived soon after. I think this was a Kodama (slow express) service out of Hiroshima. I am at Hiroshima station waiting for my Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka which has been delayed by a few minutes. The train prior to mine has come and gone, and another train arriving at the opposite platform and terminated here. The signs had been displaying a Sakura service which I hoped would be the pink Shinkansen train I'd seen while on the run on the way here. Sadly that Sakura service never came, and when I reached Osaka an hour and a half later, the station signs stated that the Sakura service had been cancelled. Oh well. I discovered later that the pink Shinkansen was one of two trains of the 500 series painted in the Hello Kitty livery, pictures and notes about which appeared earlier in this album. (see previous pictures). Back to this Rail Star train, it is yet another type of Shinkansen- I will put in notes about this train immediately after this. (see subsequent pictures later in this album). (Hiroshima,Japan, Apr/ May 2019) |
