Title |
A Post Medieval lead spindle whorl |
||
Description |
English: A Post Medieval lead spindle whorl, biconical in shape with a roughly circular aperture through the centre. The object has relief moulded decoration consisting of pellets within triangles accross the surface and a raised circumferential rib. The spindle whorl is similar to another example, also found in Lincolnshire, which can be seen on this database-NLM-5A6C76.
The object is slightly worn, with a uniform patina of pale grey, but is otherwise in good condition. |
