A Post Medieval copper alloy bell.
Description
English: A Post Medieval cast copper alloy bell probably dating from the 17th century AD. The bell is spherical in shape with a square suspension loop with a drilled perforation protruding from the upper hemisphere. The lower hemisphere is decorated with a sun burst design. The surface of the bell is corroded and there are signs of iron corrosion around the suspension loop. The bell is 50.5mm high, 41.5mm in diameter and weighs 71.4 grams.
