Title
A Post Medieval chape
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy chape dating to the Medieval or Post Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1700). The object is conical in form and is formed of a plain folded sheet which has been soldered together along its length. The wider end has broken away in antiquity. The object is undecorated and had a motled reddidh-brown and green patina. It is probably a chape for a dagger or similar.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 28.71mm in length, 9.38mm in diameter and 2.12g in weight.
