A Post Medieval belt mount
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy possible belt mount dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1500 - 1600). The mount is sub-square in shape with four incurved sides and four rounded knops projecting from four opposite corners. The face and reverse of the mount are flat. On the reverse there are two integral fixing pins, which have been bent over at 90 degrees in the same direction. The tip of one of the pins is missing. There are the traces of silvering on both the face and reverse of the mount.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 14.04mm in length, 14.84mm in width, 4.34mm in thickness and 3.29g in weight.
