Title
A Post Medieval Cloth Seal (back)
Description
English: A worn and incomplete lead cloth seal dating to the late Medieval or early Post Medieval period (c. AD 1485 -1700). The top of the disc has broken away making the seal sub-square/diamond in shape. The front of the disc appears to show the remains of a raised design consisting of a letter H flanked by a sprig of foliage within a beaded circle, though the design is very worn. The reverse is too worn to discern what the decoration is, if any. The object now remains light grey in colour due to the corrosion process.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 17mm in diameter and 4.91g in weight.
