Description
English: Portsmouth Corporation buses in The Hard (street) in Portsmouth. In the centre is No. 249 (reg. ERV 249D). The King & Queen public house on the left of the photo is now "The Ship Anson" whilst the lamp standards dating from the trolleybus era ie before 1963, have now been replaced by new lighting posts. On the right of the photo, the chimneys of Portsmouth Power Station were demolished during the 1980s. The Hard Interchange now occupies the site at the extreme right of the photo.
