A migratory bird that is famous for appearing before the rains start. In the countryside, people still predict rains by its sightings. It migrates all the way to Africa and comes back to India just in time for the rains and of course, the breeding season.

A parasitic cuckoo, it lays its eggs in other birds nests. It would eat one of the hosts eggs and drop its own in them. This bird prefers Bulbuls, both Red Vented and White throated, tailorbird etc.. for hosts.

I must have shot more than 100+ shots to get this one good flight shot. This cuckoo is a pretty fast flier and despite clear space, it was tough to keep it in the sights. But this one shot made it worthwhile.
