Title
A Pair of Post Medieval Buckles (reverse)
Description
English: Two incomplete silver single loop buckles dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1650-1720). The buckles have oval-shaped, slightly bevelled frames with a central bar and folded sheet plate. Each plate has one rivet with a decorative boss for attachment. Both buckles are missing their pins. The loop of one buckle is also missing roughly a quarter at the outer edge. The decoration on both rivets is either of an eight-petalled flower or a star-burst with eight rays. A similar example recorded on the database is record number ESS-D77003.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 35mm in length for one buckle and 34mm in length for the second, 20mm in width for both buckles, and 3mm in thickness for both buckles.
