Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A PADAUNG DANCE: The movements, to the accompaniment of timed cymbals and deep-toned gongs, are confined to swaying and side-stepping to funeral measure. There are very few instances of "mixed" round dances in Indo-China and it is singular that it should be found among the Red Karens. Holding hands is considered improper by the Burmese.
