A Medieval open-frame brooch
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy open-frame brooch dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1300-1500). The brooch is in the shape of an equilateral triangle, with each arm measuring between 23 and 24mm. Each arm is bevelled at the edge on the face of the brooch and the reverse is completely flat and undecorated. The face of the brooch has beaded decoration in a line following the shape of the triangle. The recess for the pin is indicated by a narrow bar cut into the frame, though the pin is now missing.
