Description
English: Medieval to Post Medieval (14th and mid 17th centuries) stud or mount: The copper alloy stud head is a sub-quatrefoil in plan and each quarter is domed. The reverse of the head is hollow and has an integral, sub-circular sectioned shank protruding from the centre. The shank tapers to a blunt point. The surface of the stud has a dark green patina with traces of gilding.

​The head is 13mm in length and 12mm in width and the depth of the head is 5mm. The shank is 10mm long.
