A Medieval Thimble
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy ring thimble dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1300-1500). The object is circular in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The ring of the thimble has four rows of circular pits across the outer surface. The inner surface is flat and undecorated. The thimble may indicate a left hand thread.

The overall dimensions are as follows: 9.4mm in length, 22.1mm in diameter, 1.2mm in thickness and 2.8g in weight.
