English: An incomplete lead papal bulla probably of Pope Nicholas III (AD 1277-80). Only half of the bulla remains splitting the obverse and reverse down the middle. St. Peter is depicted with a rounded face and with a beard and hair formed from pellets. The reverse bears the legend NI[CO]/ LA[VS] / PP: ... There is an omega above the 'PP', which is an abbreviation of pastor pastorum - meaning shepherd of the shepherds. The die axis is 12 o'clock.
