A Medieval Horse Harness Pendant.
Description
English: A Medieval cast copper alloy shield-shaped harness pendant, with intact suspension loop. There are two lions on the front on the pendant which was surrounded by red enamel. There are traces of gilding surviving on the raised part of the design. This artefact dates to the 13th or 14th century. The pendant is 38.1mm long, 23.8mm wide, 3.7mm thick and weighs 12.7 grams.
