Summary
[edit]DescriptionA Kakatiya era Trikuta Mukkanteswaralayam Hindu Temple, Kusumanchi, Telangana 19.jpg |
English: Kusumanchi is now a small village in Khammam district. It was a much larger town with many temples before the 14th-century.
This temple is near and to the south of the more frequented Ganapeshwara Temple complex, Kusumanchi. This is one of many historic trikuta plan temples found in Telangana. This one features parallel shrines and long shared mandapa. This plan is very different than the trikuta Kakatiya temples in Pillalamarri village of Telangana and many others elsewhere. This temple has a major 4-sided inscription pillar in the front. |
