Description
English: A Handyside & Co Ltd. This small plaque on the viaduct carrying the railway lines into Manchester over Chapelfield Road 1453839 shows it be the work of Andrew Handyside, whose iron foundry output ranged from fountains 1101279 to railway bridges 356839. He produced lamp posts 962634 for the new gas street lighting and was one of the first to produce the new standard Post Office letterboxes 593640. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_Handyside
