Arriva Midlands Wright StreetDeck Electroliner (low-height) 8007 (BK73 ADX) - service 127 to Leicester - Alan Moss Road, Loughborough, England

| Description |
English: Arriva's new Wright Streetdeck Electroliners have begun to make occasional appearances on the 127, straying off their assigned routes of the 47, 48, 50 and 51. Most commonly, one sometimes runs a short working towards Pitsford Drive in Loughborough, arriving at around 08:40 before returning straight to the depot in Thurmaston. Indeed, such an incidence occurred today when 8007 ran this short working. To my vexation, however, for some reason or another, I would be unable to get out and photograph the electric bus running this working. Today I slept in a little too late!
However, I got a second chance when 8007 reappeared on the 127 in the late afternoon, and no way was I going to miss it this time! 8007 (BK73 ADX) is seen on Alan Moss Road in Loughborough with a service 127 to Leicester. As things stand, within the next couple of years Arriva's services 5, 5A and 127 will get their own electric buses within the next couple of years, along with the bulk of Kinchbus's network, excluding the Skylink. This is... the future. |
