Description

This is a print of a water colour painting. This painting was created in 1921 for the portfolio "Die Erotik der Antike in Kleinkunst und Keramik" by Gaston Vorberg.[1]

For this portfolio there were antiquities that were located in collections and institutions and then watercolour paintings were made of these antiquities. Some of the objects had photographs taken of them. The object that this painting was based on was an ancient Graeco-Roman gem. The gem had a "cameo" engraving on it.[1]
