English: A Dutch flagship under easy sail On the right, a ship viewed from slightly abaft the port beam with flag at the main and pendant at the fore, before a light breeze under fore course and fore topsail; the main topsail is on the cap and the mizzen topsail half-mast high. On the left and further away, another ship under similar sail, viewed from before the port beam. This is a drawing by the Younger, signed ‘W.V.VJ’, in pen and wash over slight preliminary work in pencil. |
