Summary
[edit]DescriptionA Christening Gift (1904).jpg |
English: "A pretty and amusing little christening gift for baby is a hoop to which are hung numerous stuffed animals. Tiny bells can be attached here and there if the mother of the child does not like the confusion. Buy a rubber ring, from six to eight inches in diameter. Wind the ring carefully with bright-colored ribbon. To the ring hang stuffed animals, such as tiny rabbis, dogs, elephants, cats and birds. The animals can be made bright and attractive. Care should be taken to have them well stuffed, that no sharp wires can protrude. Fasten firmly to the back of each animal a ribbon, leaving an end sufficiently long to tie securely to the rubber ring. The ribbons can be of the same or of different lengths. When the animals are suspended to the ring, attach to each side of the ring a ribbon a half yard long, knot the two, making something by which the plaything can be hung." |
