English: A Bronze Age cast copper alloy socketted axe c.1000-600 BC. The axe splays evenly from the circular socket towards the rounded cutting edge. A solid loop protrudes from one edge near the socket. The top third of the axe on one side is broken away by an old break. This break reveals casting marks on the inside.
