Description |
English: A (probably) Medieval – Post Medieval lead alloy object, probably a weight, possibly a lead sinker. The object is made from a strip of lead alloy one end is pointed and the other end has a central notch creating a V-shaped profile. Just below the notch there is a square perforation for a nail with a square sectioned shank. The front surface is decorated with a moulded repeated pattern of a V with internal cross-hatching. There are two complete central decorative ‘V’s and two incomplete; one on each end.
