Title
AWL
Description
English: The piece is the shape of a three sided pyramid. One face is from a hinge fracture. The others have varying degrees of retouch and long flake removals to flatten them towards a point at the distal end. The left distal shoulder is finely serrated.

The flint is dark grey in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is difficult to confirm with only tertiary cortex.

Mercer (1981) illustrates a similar piece on Page 137 Fig 60 No L163 which he calls a piercer and dates to the Neolithic.
