English: Marissa Wentling receives a certificate of appreciation from 82nd Airborne Division Commander Maj. Gen. John W. Nicholson Jr. and Command Sgt. Maj. LaMarquis Knowles during the division’s volunteer recognition ceremony, April 25. Marissa, her husband, Spc. Matthew Wentling, 3rd General Support Aviation Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, and their two children, Marisol and Kaleb, were named the first runner up, 2013 Association of the United States Army Volunteer Family of the Year. “Time is precious and we recognize that it takes our volunteers to help take care of our families,” said Lt. Col. William Braman, 3-82 GSAB commander. “The Wentling family has gone out of their way to take care of this unit and their community in every way they could. We couldn’t be more proud of them.” |
