Description
English: Diagram of the ATP synthase complex. The F0 head is kept stationary while a proton flow across the membrane drives the rotor (orange) that turns inside it. The rotor bears the catalytic sites where ATP is produced from ADP and phosphate. Adapted from Alberts et al. Molecular Biology of the Cell, 6th (Figure 14-30). PDB: 2WPD​ and PDB: 6ZPO​.
