Description

Carvair G-ASKN remained with BAF into the Keegan era, when it was renamed ‘Big Bill’. Here it is in the western holding area on 4 May 1975, waiting permission to enter the runway and taxi down to start its take-off run from next to St Laurence church. In Jun 1976 it went to Ste Anonyme de Construction (SOACO) as TR-LWP. It made its last flight on 8 Dec 1976, into Brazzaville, Congo, where it lingered until May 1986, when it was broken-up for spares. For its earlier history, see my other photos.
