Description
English: Black & white orbital image.

This photo was used in Figure 1-12 in the Apollo 11 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-214), 1969, which has the following caption:

The craters Messier, Messier A, and Messier B are grouped in the center of this photograph (NASA AS11-42-6227), looking westward across Mare Fecunditatis. Messier appears nearest the center of the photograph, Messier A is above Messier, and Messier B is below and to the right of Messier.
