Add a one-line explanation of what this file represents
Description The name musket is derived from the Italian word for hawk—moschetto. Muskets use a trigger mechanism, called a flintlock, that was developed in the mid-1500s. When the trigger of a flintlock is pulled, a flint-tipped lever known as the cock strikes against an upraised structure called the frizzen, throwing sparks and igniting the priming gunpowder. The flintlock trigger is simpler and more easily repaired than the previous mechanism used, called the wheel lock, and made the wheel lock mechanisms obsolete. - MALTA
