English: The 3-inch gun fires from the deck of the Colombian navy frigate ARC Caldas (FM 52) during a gunnery exercise July 28, 2006, conducted as part of the Pacific phase of exercise UNITAS 47-06. UNITAS is an annual U.S. Southern Command-sponsored multinational exercise designed to enhance interoperability between participating navies, held in the waters around South America. This years Pacific phase includes navies from Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Spain and the United States.
