PLATE 37. CANOPIES FOR WINDOWS OR DOORS. These canopies have projectiug roofs, curved or flat, and variously ornamented,and are supported by brackets of various patterns. Fig-. 1. Has a curved roof, with a bold moulding at the top of its curve. Thebrackets are 5 inches thick, and are bevelled on the face, and have turnedpendants at the top, and raised pieces at the bottom. The details are shown at A. Fig. 2. Has a flat roof, ornamented with a scroll 4 inches thick. The cornice ismoulded and has a sawed verge-board, 2 inches thick.
