Nederlands: Een afbeelding van een exotische kust met strand met vele mannen aan het werk; Op de voorgrond wordt gevist, Rechts een man op een verhoging voor een groep mensen; Daarachter een smid en in het midden een kuiper; Links enkele exotische dieren; In het midden een boom met daarop de wapens van Zeeland, Amsterdam en Holland.

Op deze afbeelding is de rede van Mauritius te zien. Echter de tekst onder een andere vergelijkbare afbeelding (RP-P-OB-47-490) meldt de plaats St. Losie op Madagascar. Aangezien de oorspronkelijke afbeelding afkomstig is uit het reisverslag van Jacob van Neck en Wijbrant van Warwijck, die verversten op Mauritius, is het erg onwaarschijnlijk dat Madagascar afgebeeld is.

De prent RP-P-OB-75-375 is het spiegelbeeld van RP-P-OB-75-379.

De afbeelding Koninklijke Bibliotheek, inv. nr. 511 K 23 na p. 216 is gespiegeld ten opzichte van afbeelding uit de Koninklijke Bibliotheek, inv. nr.197 J 16 p. 251. Op de afbeelding in de Koninklijke Bibliotheek, inv. nr. 197 J 16 p. 251, staan de Oost-Indiëvaarders ook.

This illustration also shows the Mauritius roadstead.

However the caption accompanying another, comparable illustration (RP-P-OB-47-490) identifies this as St. Losie on Madagascar. Given that the original illustration comes from the travel journal of Jacob van Neck and Wijbrant van Warwijck, who stopped for refreshments on Mauritius, it is highly unlikely that Madagascar is pictured here.

The print RP-P-OB-75-375 is the mirror image of RP-P-OB-75-379.

The image Koninklijke Bibliotheek, inv. nr. 511 K 23 na p. 216 is the mirror image of another image held by the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, inv. nr.197 J 16 p. 251. The image held by the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, inv. nr. 197 J 16 p. 251, also shows the East Indiamen.
