Summary
[edit]DescriptionA830 - geograph.org.uk - 561081.jpg |
English: A830 A soon to disappear single track section of the A830 by Beasdale station.
Just over the brow the earth movers are hard at work on the new road. It has taken over 40 years to upgrade the A830 from single track to double carriageway. In that time lorries have gone from 22 tons gross to 44 tonnes and private car traffic volumes are way higher too. The result now is that the first section done in the 1960s along Loch Eilt is hopelessly out of date. |
