Description |
English: Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 32mm in diameter, 11mm thick with a weight of 42.29. The object has a grey patina and is in fair condition with a small amount of damage. The whorl has a central hole 8mm in diameter and from here the object thins from 11mm thick to 4mm thick along its edge, giving it a triangular section. The outer surface is decorated with the common motif of raised lines and dots which radiate from the centre. |
