Description |
English: Medieval copper alloy rotary key, 63mm long, 40mm wide and weighing 21.55 grams. The key is almost complete and has a green-brown patina. It has a circular bow, with the remains of a suspension loop emerging from its upper side and another possible loop from one side. It is decorated using five cut outs which form a diamond in a circle. The shank is hollow and circular, 8mm in diameter. It has a small part of its end missing and has a raised collar, 3mm wide. The bit emerges from the end of the shank and is complete. The clefts form a cross shape with a cross shaped cut out in its centre. emerging from the outside of this cross is a bar with three prongs 3mm long, evenly spaced. |
