Two U.S. Navy Douglas A4D-2 Skyhawk (BuNo 142749, 144971) from Attack Squadron VA-56 Champions in flight. VA-56 was assigned to Carrier Air Group 5 (CVG-5) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Constellation (CVA-64) for her voyage around South America from 25 July to 17 Septermber 1962. The A-4B 142749 was later sold to Argentina as A-4P "C-232" in 1966. It is today mounted on pedestals outside the regional Interforce Museum at San Luis, Argentina. 144971 was sold to Singapore and converted to an A-4S (s/n 659). |
