English: Looking NW from Portland Canal just upriver from McAlpine Locks cofferdam:

Dumping rubble from demolition of old 360-foot and 600-foot locks into barge. Crane is sitting atop cofferdam wall. Some of this concrete rubble will be used to fill scour holes in the riverbank upriver from Evansville (mile 789, LDB). In right distance is blue bascule bridge over head of existing 1200-foot lock. . Ohio River mile 607. Louisville, Kentucky. July 18, 2002. file # A2G016. .
