Towboat "Fred Joerger" downbound, working tow next to cells while waiting for lockage. . Twin screw towboat "Fred Joerger" (doc. # 642287, length 148 feet, breadth 38 feet, GE FDM12 diesels, 5200 hp. [repowered in 2003 with GM 12-645E7B diesels, 4600 hp.]) Built in 1982 by Superior Boat Works, Greenville, Mississippi. Originally "Margie Logan", leased to Logan Transportation, Inc., Greenville. Leased in 1988 to Hampton Barge Line, Inc., and renamed "Christine Bailey". Operated by SCF Transportation, Inc., Greenville. Returned in 1994 to Senstar Capital Corp., Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Leased in 1996, then sold in 1997 to Memco Barge Line, Inc., Chesterfield, Missouri, and renamed "Fred Joerger". Leased in 1998, then sold in 2003 to B&H Towing, Inc., Paducah, Kentucky, and renamed "Mary Harter". Transferred in 2007 to Lay Leasing, Inc., Paducah. Leased to AEP River Operations LLC, Chesterfield. . Ohio River mile 606. Louisville, Kentucky. July 17, 2002. file # A2G007. .
