Summary

[edit]
Description w:ISO 216, A_0 dimensions.
A_0 has the area of 1 m^2 and the ratio of edges 1:sqrt(2), (1:1.41421356). In reality, the dimenstion of edges are rounded to 841 mm × 1189 mm and so the area is 0.999949 m^2. The exact millimeter measurement of the long side of A_n is given by 1000/(2^{(2n-1)/4})+0.2. The paper size A_n thus has the dimension a_n × a_(n+1).
