Op 17 mei 1931 werd deze buste van brons overgedragen aan de Stichting Domus Spinozana en opgesteld in de tuin van Spinozahuis in Den Haag. Sokkel van 17e-eeuwse tegels die bij de restauratie van het pand waren gevonden. Nadere bronvermelding in de bron: boek van A. Vloemans, Spinoza: de mensch, het leven en het werk, Den Haag 1931 tegenover pagina 576.

This sculpture in bronze was formally consigned to the Dutch Stichting Domus Spinozana and erected in the garden of the Spinoza House in The Hague. The pedestal was assembled from 17th century tiles found during the restoration of the house. Ultimate source mentioned by Krop: the book by A.
