Original caption: " A.E. McKinstry/Kindersley "A.E. McKinstry was requisitioned for overseas service and survived a torpedo attack in the English Channel on October 2, 1918. She was able to return to the Great Lakes and, in 1927, was renamed Kindersley by CSL. The ship headed overseas again in World War II and survived this conflict, but at the conclusion of hostilities was chosen as one of the ships to be scuttled with excess munitions.
