Description

A U.S. Navy LTV A-7B-4-CV Corsair II (BuNo 154532) from Attack Squadron VA-155 Silver Foxes landing on the aircraft carrier SS Oriskany (CVA-34. VA-153 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 19 (CVW-19) aboard Oriskany for a deployment to Vietnam from 14 May to 10 December 1970.

The A-7B 154532 was hit by ground fire over the Than Hoa Province, North Vietnam, on 23 July 1972 while in service with VA-56, CVW-5, USS Midway (CVA-41). The pilot was able to fly over the Gulf of Tonkin where he ejected and was rescued.
