| Description |
A U.S. Navy Grumman A-6E Intruder (BuNo 152928) from Attack Squadron VA-95 "Green Lizards" dropping Mk 84 227 kg Snakeeye bombs. VA-95 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 11 (CVW-11) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN-65) during her world cruise from 11 January to 13 August 1986. The A-6E 152928 was lost on 18 January 1991 while in service with VA-155 "Silver Foxes", CVW-2, from USS Ranger (CV-61). It was shot down by ground fire over Kuwait during the 1991 Gulf War. The crew was killed. |
