Description Two U.S. Navy Grumman A-6E Intruder aircraft (BuNo 158795, 161233) from Attack Squadron VA-52 Knightriders are waiting to be launched from the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) on 15 May 1986. One board one of the planes was Gen. Robert W. Bazley, USAF, commander in chief, Pacific Air Forces, who had visited the ship. Note the different paint schemes.
