Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Skyhawk aircraft (BuNo 149619) from Attack Squadron VA-15 Valions in flight, armed with an AGM-12 Bullpup missile. Note the inofficial "Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club" emblem on the fuselage. VA-15 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 10 (CVW-10) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) for a deployment to Vietnam from 11 May to 30 December 1967. The A-4C 149619 was shot down by flak over North Vietnam on 4 October 1967. The pilot, Lt.Cdr. P.V. Schoeffel, ejected and became a prisoner of war.
