Description
English: Looking ESE from observation deck atop old 18th St. Bridge pier.

"Paul G. Blazer" upbound in Portland Canal, approaching L&I Bridge.

Twin screw towboat "Paul G. Blazer" (doc. # 918951, length 150 feet, breadth 45 feet, Cat 3606 diesels, 4200 hp) built 1987 by Quality Shipyards, Houma, Louisiana. Originally owned by Ashland Oil. In 1998, transferred to Marathon Ashland Petroleum (later known as Marathon Petroleum Co.), Ashland, Kentucky. Still operating in 2017.

Ohio River mile 605. Louisville, Kentucky. 27-Mar-1999. 99c081. .
