Description: According to various traditions from the Middle Ages, Ben Babbata grave is in Shfaram. The finding of the tomb attributed to Baba was announced by Rabbi Baruch Abu Hachira, during a visit he made in 1987 to the city of Kiryat Ata.

שם: שפרעם - קבר יהודה בן בבתא
תיאור: לפי מסורות שונות מימי הביניים קברו של בן בבתא נמצא בשפרעם. על מציאת הקבר המיוחס לבן בבא הכריז הרב ברוך אבוחצירא, בעת ביקור שערך בשנת 1987 בעיר קריית אתא, הגובלת באתר ממערב. מאז הפך לאתר עלייה לרגל. (ויקיפדיה)
הערות: שפרעם היא עיר ערבית במערב הגליל התחתון המונה כ-45000 אלף תושבים ובה רוב מוסלמי ומיעוט משמעותי נוצרי ודרוזי. בשפרעם חייתה בתקופת בית שני קהילה יהודית והיא אף מוזכרת כאחד המקומות אליהם גלתה הסנהדרין. הקהילה ידעה עליות ומורדות במהלך השנים ובמאה ה-17 בנתה בית כנסת במקום שבו, על פי המסורת, היה מושב הסנהדרין. במאה ה-18 השתלט דאהר אל-עומר על אזור הגליל ושפרעם בתוכו, והזמין את היהודים לבוא ולחדש את הקהילה בשפרעם. לשפרעם הגיעו הרב חיים אבולעפיה (השני) ותלמידיו ושיפצו את בית הכנסת.
