Name: The Golan Heights - a meeting with the UN observer
Description: , UN observer forces known as UNTSO, which draws its authority from the Security Council decision following the 1949 Israel-Syria armistice agreement. The task of the force is to report on violations of the agreement on the border of the two countries. After 1967, it jumped to the cease-fire line to the Golan Heights and performs the same tasks.

תיאור: , אנשי כח משקיפי או"ם המכונה UNTSO היונק את סמכותו מהחלטת מועצת הביטחון בעקבות הסכם שביתת הנשק ישראל סוריה 1949. תפקיד הכח לדווח על הפרות ההסכם בגבול שתי המדינות. לאחר 1967 דילג לקו הפסקת האש לרמת הגולן ומבצע את אותן המשימות.
הערות: הכח מונה כ-150 קצינים וקצינות בלבד. משך שירותם כשנה והם באים מהודו,פיליפינים, פולין קנדה, קרואטיה ועוד. מפקדתם בארמון הנציב בירושלים. בצידם פועל ברמת הגולן UNDOF כח או"ם לשמירת השלום בגבול המונה כ-1000 קצינים וחיילים, הוקם ב-1974 בעקבות הסכם הפרדת הכוחות בין ישראל וסוריה ותפקידו לפקח על הסכמי דילול הכוחות בשני צידי הגבול וקיום אזור החיץ. המפקדות שוכנות בטבריה ודמשק.
